Main attractions: Fauna and Flora.

Characteristics: It's the largest Brazilian region and less populous because about 80% of its area is covered by Amazon Rainforest, providing an intense contact with nature, and incredible tours through the jungle.

When visit: During the rainy season, from December-May, rivers are full and forest floods. During the drought, June-November, beaches appear riverside. On April and May, the Amazon theater hosts the Opera Festival. On June happens the folkloric festival of Parintins. On October, happens the Círio de Nazaré in Belém.

Carry: Long clothes, sneakers or boots, sunblock, insect repellent, hat, binoculars and camera.
